Draft Public Health Planning Guide for Local Governments
Overview
You are invited to review and provide feedback on the Draft Public Health Planning Guide for Local Government (Guide). Implementation of Section 45 of the Public Health Act 2016 commenced on 4 June 2024, formally enacting the requirement for the preparation of a local public health plan prepared by each local government.
This Guide has been developed to assist Western Australian local governments with public health planning and is an additional resource supporting the State Public Health Plan which is currently under revision.
Why are we consulting
To further strengthen the document and ensure it is robust and useful for local governments.

For the purpose of this consultation, a pre-production draft of the Guide has been provided. This draft does not include interactive features or graphics. These will be included in the final version of the Guide.

While feedback from individuals is welcome, formal responses which represent the views of your organisation are strongly encouraged.
The survey consists of 13 questions. Questions 1 – 5 require a response. Providing a response to other questions is optional.

What happens next
Your response will feed into the formal consultation process. The release date for the Guide will be determined following receipt of the feedback.
