Overview

In preparation for the next Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS) Working Group meeting, the System Risk and Assurance team have prepared a survey for members on:

  1. an updated draft proposal for the control assessment tables; and
  2. the current risk tables and practices.

Circa 2016/17, significant work was completed to review and propose updates to the WA Health risk assessment tables for the ERMS.

In mid-2018, work was completed on the control assessment tables and updates were proposed to the ERMS Working Group.

The System Risk and Assurance team have picked up the work previously completed and will continue to progress with updates to the risk and control tables. To guide our way forward with this work and to inform the specific updates (particularly with respect to the control assessment tables), the ERMS Working Group members are asked to complete the survey below.

Why We Are Consulting

The survey is intended for the ERMS Working Group members only as we would like to gather preliminary data from this group prior to wider consultation. Within the survey, we have requested your name and WA health entity, so please note that the survey is identifiable and we may reach out to you with some follow up questions.

The survey includes specific questions with respect to the updated draft proposal for the control assessment tables and general questions on the current risk assessment tables (2009). The updated draft proposal for the control assessment tables (attached to the survey) is based on the previous proposal submitted to the ERMS Working Group and includes feedback received from the ERMS Working Group during previous consultation and the results of further benchmarking work completed by System Risk and Assurance.
